Atlanta Tops St. Louis In NFL Preseason Action

It may only be preseason in the NFL, but the Atlanta Falcons are making a statement that they’ll be a factor in the NFC. The Falcons starters behind QB Matt Ryan were almost flawless, and left the reserves with a 14-0 lead before eventually beating the St. Louis Rams 20-13 at the Edward Jones Dome on Friday night. Both teams are now 1-1 in NFL preseason action.

Running back Michael Turner was unstoppable in his limited playing time, churning out 65 yards in the Falcons opening drive. After the game, he confirmed that the Falcons offense had placed a priority on sound execution:

“We wanted to come out and execute. They were preaching that all week and we wanted to show that on game day. We’re way better than we were last year at this time.”

Quarterback Matt Ryan was 7 of 8 for 81 yards and a touchdown pass before he called it a night. Tony Gonzalez caught Ryans TD pass and after the game was effusive in his praise for the young signal caller:

“He’s a great quarterback. It’s obvious he’s figuring things out. He has a great arm, talent, and knows how to play with poise.”

It was a disappointing home debut for new Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo, who saw his team blown away from the opening whistle before a half empty stadium:

“Just like I said to the team, we’d have liked to have started out a little better. You’ve got to come out and take it to them.”

Rams safety O.J. Atogwe echoed his coach’s sentiments:

“This was a fabulous game for us. That’s the reason you play the preseason. Going against a team like Atlanta, a top-caliber team, it allows us to reassess what we’ve been doing.”

Falcons coach Mike Smith, meanwhile, was enthused about the improved play of his rushing defense:

“We were much improved against the run. It’s something we have to continue to get better at. We still had some missteps.”

The Falcons will continue NFL preseason play next Friday night as they host the San Diego Chargers at the Georgia Dome. The Rams will play the Bengals at Cincinnati next Thursday night.

Private Investigators In The Eyes Of The Law

A lot of people view private investigator’s job as an invasion of privacy and is frequently on the wrong side of the law. Very often, movies depict private investigators in a damaging way.

Countries all through out the world have made laws and constitutional amendments to protect their people from what they perceived as violation in their privacy.

Now the question moving in everyone’s head is, what are the things a private investigator can practice that are still within the boundaries of law, that is, no civil rights are breached during the process?

The law commands that when private investigators perform their work, they have to make sure that they are not invading someone’s privacy. Private investigators have to make sure that the investigations they are carrying are for legal purposes. And if particular information are going to be used in court, they are required to protect the data such that it is not tampered or compromise along the way. Private investigators have to handle confidential information such as social security numbers and license numbers with utmost care to protect such data from falling into the wrong hands.

Now another significant question is, are private investigators permitted to carry firearms? This depends on where the private investigators are located. But among countries or states, one thing is common, private investigators can only carry firearms if they are authorized with a concealed weapons license and of course they have firearms permit.

It is also interesting to ask, if in the eyes of the law private investigators permitted to take a stand in court? The answer is, YES they can. Private investigators working for lawyers or private individuals are permitted to testify in court. They can present what they have seen or heard provided they have sufficient evidence that will support whatever they say.

The last and most essential thing is, the private investigators must be licensed before doing any work.

Miami Beats Bucs To Remain Undefeated In NFL Preseason Play

Success in the NFL mandates that even when teams aren’t playing their best they need to find a way to win. The Miami Dolphins found a way to win ugly in their NFL preseason battle of Florida on Thursday night. After spotting the Bucs a 6-0 lead, Miami used a late first half field goal and scored the only touchdown of the second half to comeback for the 10-6 win. The victory improved Miamis preseason NFL record to a perfect 3-0 while Tampa Bay dropped to 1-2.

A starting QB battle in Tampa was the biggest storyline of the game and veteran Byron Leftwich appears to have gained the edge over Luke McCown. Bucs coach Raheem Morris has indicated that hell be making a decision soon, though he refused to show his cards in postgame media comments:

“Obviously you want somebody to jump up and take it. We’ll find out when we go back, look at the tape and evaluate this thing.”

McCown had a rough night, with two sacks and no points scored. He gained 38 yards on 5 for 11 passing and after the game gave a verbose no comment on his status as starter:

“It’s not for me to say. … My part in it is preparing every day, being the best I can be and getting better from my mistakes. As long as I feel like I’m doing that, then I’m OK.”

Leftwich, meanwhile, was 9 of 17 for 100 yards and came up big on several third down completions. He had very little to add after the game:

“Hopefully, I’m the guy. I felt good. I missed a few, but I hit a few also. Luckily for me on the ones I missed, I made plays on the following play to get those first downs.”

Bucs running back Cadillac Williams returned to action after major knee surgery seven months ago. Afterwards, he said the knee problems of the past few years are currently not an issue:

“The knee is not an issue to me. … I feel great. I’m just loving what I do.”

The game had several delays due to rain and lightening, the longest a 45 minute stoppage Dolphins QB Chad Pennington said that its hard to evaluate his team’s performance due to the strange starts and stops:

“It was a very odd game for us, as far as the rain delay, a lot of stoppages of play and things like that We were able to come out get a score before halftime and get a score after the half. We’ll build on that. We’ll be critical of ourselves and make sure we don’t let a win overshadow what we need to do to get better.”

Miami will get the NFL regular season underway against the Atlanta Falcons at The Georgia Dome on Sunday, September 13. Tampa Bay will welcome the Dallas Cowboys to The Cigar City on the same day to kick off their 2009 campaign.

Sanchez Struggles As Ravens Top Jets In NFL Preseason Play

NY Jets rookie QB Mark Sanchez struggled early, though recovered to throw a TD before he left the game for the night. Despite the score, the Baltimore Ravens held on to defeat the Jets 24-23. Baltimore improved to 2-0 on the NFL preseason while the Jets dropped to 0-2.

Sanchez was hit by Ray Lewis on his first drive and threw a bad pass that was intercepted and returned for a touchdown. After the game, he spoke of the play:

“Not obviously the way you want to start. I thought I was doing the right thing; I felt Ray come free on the right side from the protection. I was checking it down to the flat, perfect. Haloti just jumped right in front of the ball and made a really athletic play.”

Ravens defensive leader Ray Lewis talked about the young QBs inexperience:

“You put a young guy like Sanchez in there and you see our defense, it can be difficult. You saw his eyes get big, and he was jumping around in the pocket. Bottom line: We gave a lot of looks and disguises and we confused him a little bit.”

Sanchez agreed that it was tough adjusting to real world game conditions:

“Oh, they were flying. They were flying around. You practice for it and you see it on film. These guys were doing it. You’re trying to keep one eye on Ed Reed and one eye on Ray Lewis and a D-lineman gets you.”

Jets head coach Rex Ryan was proud of how Sanchez faced up to the pressure:

“I’m proud of the way he responded. It ain’t going to be perfect; sometimes you have these type of nights. You’ve got to give credit where credit is due, and most of that goes to their defense.”

The Jets will get the NFL regular season underway on Sunday, September 13th as they travel to Houston to play the Texans. The Ravens will host the Kansas City Chiefs.

Seattle Uses Second Half Push To Run Away From Denver In NFL Preseason

Seattles Matt Hasselbeck and Denvers Kyle Orton both played fairly well in the first half, but the Seahawks reserves pulled away in the second half. The Seahawks improved to 2-0 on the NFL preseason with a 27-13 win over the Denver Broncos. The Broncos dropped to 0-2 in their exhibition contests.

Hasselbeck completed 16 passes in 23 attempts including two touchdowns, though he was sacked three times. That was a big concern as he missed considerable time last season due to a back injury, but appeared to suffer no ill effects here:

“It’s just like I remembered- no fun. … I forgot how hard people hit in here. It’s just like a car accident. It’s part of the game … and it was probably good that it happened.”

After a rough opening weekend as the Denver Broncos starting QB, Kyle Orton recovered to post decent numbers. He completed 16 of his first 19 pass attempts including a touchdown before finishing 18 of 26 for 182 yards with a touchdown and an interception:

“I’ve got an awful lot of confidence right now, I really do. This is the best offense I’ve ever played with. This is the best talent around me that I’ve ever had. I just feel that my game right now is as good as it has ever been.

Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels was more reserved in his assessment:

“I think he acquitted himself fairly well. He played, you know, fairly well. There’s still obviously room for improvement. But he did what we feel he is capable of doing.

It would have been hard for Orton to have played worse than he did in the Broncos opening NFL preseason contest against the San Francisco 49ers last week where he threw three interceptions in his first three drives.

The Seahawks will continue their NFL preseason slate next Saturday against the Chiefs in Kansas City. Denver, meanwhile, will host Ortons old team”the Chicago Bears”and face their former starting QB Jay Cutler for the first time. Seattle will get the NFL regular season off and running on Sunday, September 13th as they host the St. Louis Rams. The Broncos will travel to Cincinnati for a game against the Bengals on the opening Sunday of the regular season.

Broncos Throttle Host Falcons In College Football Action

Bowling Green played Boise State tough on their home field this weekend–at least for one quarter. Things looked good for the host Falcons at the end of the first quarter, as they’d held the #6 ranked Broncos scoreless and were right in the thick of things in a scoreless game. It was all downhill from that point for Bowling Green, as Boise State exploded for 29 unanswered second quarter points. The Broncos would eventually win 49-14, improving to 4-0 on the season.

The Broncos easily covered as -16 road favorites. The 63 combined points went OVER the posted total of 51. Boise State needed four plays or less on their first six scoring drives, and amassed a season high 529 yards of total offense. Their defense also forced the Falcons into three costly turnovers.

Boise State coach Chris Petersen had insisted on more quick strike scoring drives in the week before the Bowling Green game. They most definitely delivered, and the coach commented to their performance after the contest:

“On offense, that’s always the name of the game. It makes it a lot easier when you don’t have those 15- and 17-play drives.”

Broncos quarterback Kellen Moore threw 17 completions in 21 pass attempts for a total of 247 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions. After the game, Moore indicated that his team wasnt resting on their impressive season to date performance:

“There’s a lot of football to go and a lot of things to work on.

Coach Petersen concurred with his quarterbacks mindset:

“These guys are a fairly mature bunch and if not, we have a staff of mature coaches to keep them focused.

Bowling Green head coach Dave Clawson sounded somewhat in awe of the Broncos ‘quick strike’ offense:

“That’s what they do. When they have 500 yards of offense, it will always be 10 to 12 plays where half their offense came from.”

The Broncos, who are enjoying their highest regular season ranking in school history, looked sharp all around on offense despite the absence of second leading rusher DJ Harper. Harper is likely out for the year after a knee injury.

Bowling Green will take a step down in class of opposition next weekend as they host the Ohio Bobcats. Theyll play on the road the next two weeks, traveling to Kent State and Ball State. Boise will return home for a game against FCS opponent UC Davis next Saturday. Theyll play on the road at Tulsa the following weekend, before enjoying a bye week.

Hair Loss 101

Each hair strand endures for an average of 4.5 years, after which the hair falls out and is replaced in 6 months by a new strand of hair. Each month, it grows about half an inch. “Hair loss” or baldness is a situation when the body fails to produce new hairs - and not literally due to hair loss.

Hair loss is due to various factors such as aging, heredity and testosterone. Usually, men and women lose hair thickness as they age. Familial baldness involves more men than women. Men, however, who do not produce testosterone do not develop baldness patterns. Meanwhile, women develop a hair loss due to genetics, age and pregnancy. Sometimes, sudden physical or emotional tension could lead one to lose half of the hair throughout the scalp. The hair shedding will stop only after 6 to 8 months. This tension could be caused by bad infections, childbirth, major illnesses, severe emotional stress, medications and crash dieting.

There are some women between the age of 30 and 60 years that may discover that their hair is thinning out. Many have described that this hair loss sets off heavy, with much of strands stuck in combs or falling out in showers but will gradually subside as they get older. There is still no known cause for this type of hair loss. Hair loss which results from menopause or childbirth usually returns to normal within 6 months to 2 years.

If you, however, had a hair loss because of radiation therapy or other sicknesses, treatment is not necessary. Your hair will naturally grow back until your body returns to its normal state.

Women who love hair pieces should abstain from suturing the hair accessories to the scalp as it runs the risk of scars and infection. For unexplained and excessive hair loss, it is safest to see a doctor.

Just How To Develop Up All Your Muscles Within Your Body

In a muscle building plan, the workouts which you do can make a big difference between a useful tactic and one that won’t achieve a lot for you. The good thing is that there are a large number of muscle development exercise techniques you are able to incorporate into your routine to help improve your muscle tissues and keep you in good shape.

To cultivate large, muscular thighs, you should perform lots of barbell leg squats and dead lifts. The amount of resistance you are putting on your thighs whenever you conduct these types of physical exercises will push your muscle tissues and compel improvement. That, of course, is the point of an intense workout strategy to begin with. Lifting weights with your legs rather than your arms will assist the hamstrings and quads to become tight and fit.

When it’s time for a focus on your arms, you will perform a series of bench presses, alternating those with the use of hand weights of a range of weights to do arm curls. Don’t make the mistake of giving an excessive amount of attention to the weights themselves, but rather to your arms muscle tissues to push them to work as hard as you are capable without over straining.

Really work them with passion while lifting and observe how they’re becoming stronger in response. Fabulous abs are shaped in much the same way as any other muscle group. In other words, they need to be worked, strained, and pushed so as to become beautifully shaped.

You can get that well developed, sculpted appearance by doing easy sit ups and crunches, but the use of weights will help even further. Pretty much any health club will have an array of equipment which focuses on your abdomen muscle tissues, so you can shift from one to another every day. When exercising the upper back, a pull-down bar machine will make a noticeable difference. This is a two handled curved bar which is affixed to weights accompanied by a pulley system. You pull the bar straight down either in front of or behind your head to build up your shoulder muscles.

It is essential when selecting bodybuilding workouts that you start off with ones you are physically skilled to try. Keep in mind the way you do the workout is as important as the individual training workouts you decide upon. Quite simply, technique makes a difference, so do not risk undue trauma by rushing in before you understand how to try the work.

Fitness information is readily available over the web - avail yourself of some of the no cost material that experts have made available. As an alternative, if you have a gym membership, you can ask their trainers for specific suggestions. Go with a healthy physical exercise routine that conditions (at least to a point) all your chief muscles so you look and feel your absolute best - not just after finishing the program, but all along the way.

Top Tips For Writing Perfect Cover Letters

You may find yourself in the position of needing cover letters. It may be that you’re looking for a business loan or a grant or a scholarship or just trying to get your novel published (but if you’re that great of a writer, why are you asking US for advice?), regardless of why you need one, now it seems that you need one, so what do you do? How do you learn how to write a great cover letter? Well, you can either learn how to write a great one, you can scribble one out thoughtlessly, or you can hire a pro. Here are a few of your options…

Read Successful Cover Letters

Read some successful cover letters thoroughly. The best way to get good at anything is to look at how the pros do it and copy them, if not word for word, move for move, then at least in spirit. Now, when you look at these letters, you’ll notice a few things. First of all, they’re coherent and well written with a definite beginning, middle and end. Secondly, they don’t have any major typos or grammatical errors. They’re friendly, but formal, so they’re not rude or pushy or dismissive, but they are written with a business like attitude. The “Hard Sell” is for advertising, not for a cover letter. So be professional, polite, and write well.

Don’t Obsessively Rewrite

Here’s how you work out a letter: Write one draft really fast, in one sitting, in one page, and don’t worry about quality. Just get the idea out there on paper so you have something to work with. Now, the second draft, take your time, a day or two, to really polish it up and make it great. The third one, just do a once over, make sure that you have it just right, give it a few tweaks, check for typos, etcetera. Now, print it out and don’t touch it. That’s your final draft. If you obsessively rewrite and rewrite, you wind up with a garbled mess that nobody understands. So call it a day when you have a good draft, and leave it alone!

Be Truthful

You won’t get away with making stuff up. You need to be completely honest. Oh sure, you can paint yourself in just the right light. Like maybe you didn’t have bad grades in school so much as you “showed promise” and “really put forth the effort”… Or, perhaps “formal schooling just couldn’t hold a candle to self education”. But, if you were a straight D student, you weren’t a straight A student, and that’s just fact. So be honest, and don’t put anything in there that they can call you on, or you risk calling the validity of the whole letter into question.

Hire a Professional

If you just can’t put together a great cover letter, there are professionals who can. More than a few people have gotten into the college of their choice thanks entirely to talented ghost writers. Find a skilled writer, work out a good rate and make sure they have all the info they need to write a great letter, and you’ll be set. Make sure to work with them closely to guide them through the process. You want them to get it right on the first try and that’s only proper with your guidance. You don’t want to pay for rewrites because you didn’t give them the attention they needed to knock it out of the park.
