Managers, other leaders and employees could be motivated to work harder when their achievements are recognized by the company they work for with crystal awards. Lights in the Dusk: Koistenin is a sad sack, a man without affect or friends. He’s a night-watchman in Helsinki with ideas of starting his own business, but nothing to go with those intentions. He sometimes talks a bit with a woman who runs a snack trailer near his work. Out of the blue, a young sophisticated blond woman attaches herself to Koistenin. He thinks of her as his girlfriend, he takes her on her rounds. She’s in league with a crook who’s planning a jewel robbery, and Koistenin is their patsy. Will he ever wise up?
The Crocodile: The film-in-the-film is centered on the figure of Italy’s prime minister and media tycoon Silvio Berlusconi, a subject so controversial that even the public television refuse to produce it. While Bonomo’s private life collapses piece by piece, as he’s divorcing from his wife, and the bank is pressing him hard to pay back his long-standing debts, he finds out that struggling to get this movie filmed is the only thing that keeps him alive.
When I was a singer: Alain Moreau sings for one of the few remaining dance-bands. Though something of an idol amongst his female audience he has a melancholic awareness of the slow disappearance of that audience and of his advancing years. He is completely knocked off balance when he meets strikingly attractive and much younger businesswoman Marion. She seems distant and apparently otherwise involved but soon shows quiet signs of reciprocating his interest. A brief dalliance turns into something much more complicated and he starts to employ her services as an estate agent by announcing he suddenly must move house.
Colossal Youth: This is scrambled story telling in slow motion. Often I found myself thinking about Beckett. The dialogs appear irrelevant, having to do with mundane personal life experiences, friends and relatives. These are poorly educated people after all. In fact one better pay close attention to the prate. It is through small revelations and asides in conversations that we pick up the clues to the life of Ventura and those close to him. The quiet and unpretentious acting, the extended takes, the absence of broad movements, the occasional lengthy silence, all can be soporific. Yet one needs to listen carefully.
According to Charlie: A few days pass in the lives of very different characters in a small town on the scenic Atlantic coast. The town mayor, a teacher, a scientist, a crook, physiotherapist and their families all see their miserable lives cross paths with the others in almost two hours of tedious film. An unhappy portrait of a town which should know better, as the characters themselves refuse to take hold of their lives to make something of them. The scientist tries to convince the teacher to join his team, but the essential problem is shared by all - an incapacity to face their own lives, to care for those around them and themselves. A dull, badly worked out film which should have remained in the editing room considerably longer than it did. Do not let the enigmatic title seduce you into the darkness, there is not much to see.
Reason of the Weakest: In Lige, a group of men gathers every day in a cafe situated near the steel factory which once reigned supreme. They play cards in a warm atmosphere but that hardly masks their quiet desperation. All unemployed, either because they can’t find work like Patrick or because they have been made redundant like Robert and Jean-Pierre, they try to forget their lot in the warm atmosphere of the place. One day, Marc, a newcomer, joins them. It soon appears that the man has just been released from prison and even if he is determined to go straight his presence suddenly inspires Robert : why not try criminality?

How Sand Etching Custom Awards and Glass Trophies Works

When custom awards and glass trophies are to be given, they usually are engraved with the recipient’s name, the date of the event, and other pertinent information. Different methods are used to engrave the information on custom awards and glass trophies, and two of these are sand etching and laser engraving.
The difference in sand etching and laser engraving is in the tools and engraving materials that are used. Laser engraving involves the use of a laser to cut or burn the engraving information into custom awards and glass trophies. Sand etching is done by using a very fine grit of sand.
Sand etching leaves no tool marks. This is something that can rarely be avoided in laser engraving. The result is a more professional, high-quality appearance.
Sand etching is done in such a manner that there is little or no possibility that tool marks will be left on the items being engraved. Even with the utmost care being taken by the most highly skilled engraver, this can sometimes occur with laser engraving.
Sand etching on custom awards and glass trophies allows the engraver to exercise slightly more creativity than might be possible with laser engraving, especially where depth and dimension appearances are concerned. Sand etching can actually impart an effect not unlike that of a 3-D appearance or image. Additionally, sand etching accepts fill painting easier, if this technique is desired, making it simpler for the engraver to accomplish this.
CO2 lasers use carbon dioxide, a type of gas, to work. Using carbon dioxide makes this type of laser engraving very versatile. Many types of materials that are used in custom awards are very well suited to CO2 laser engraving. This includes the glass components used to make glass trophies. Fiber-optics laser engraving is done using tools that operate by means of fiber-optics technology.
Both laser engraving and sand etching are excellent ways of engraving information onto custom awards and glass trophies. The engraving method chosen is strictly one of individual or collective preference, just as choosing the recipient of the custom awards and glass trophies was. Both methods can produce satisfactory results on items that can be engraved. With sand etching, however, there is little or no chance that tool marks will appear on the finished engraving work.
