Burn Belly Fat The Quick Way
Posted by Brad Setti | Filed under Health & Fitness
I often get asked, “What’s the best way to burn fat and lose my belly?” People want to know if aerobics is better than strength training, or if traditional cardio exercise is better than intervals.
Well, to say I’ve done them all would be an understatement.
Using laboratory research and training for at least 15 years both for myself and sports I can tell you what exercises work and what don’t.
But first of all, I want to frame my responses. I’m going to talk about what works for people that have a limited amount of time to exercise, mostly because I expect your readers don’t have 90 minutes per day to devote to a workout, unlike the typical audience of a fitness magazine.
That’s why there is a huge disconnect between some of the information found in magazines and the ability of the reader to apply it to their lives.
We just don’t have 6-8 hours per week for exercise, nor do we need it. If you’re a triathlete, you might need that, but not someone that just wants to lose fat and gain muscle.
Therefore to get a better body, you need…
Your best results will be through warming up with your own body-weight. Use strength training for muscle buildup. And use interval training to finish up and burn fat fast. This system is structured for you to workout 3 times/week and be in and out of the gym in 45 minutes.
Spend 5 minutes warming up with bodyweight exercise. If you spend 5 minutes on a treadmill it will only prepare you for more time on the treadmill. Using bodyweight will be much more efficient.
Then we move into the strength training supersets, where we use two exercises performed back to back with minimum rest between each. This cuts our workout time, while still giving us maximum results. We only need 20 minutes for this, and we’ll use basic exercises, and sometimes even more bodyweight exercises, depending on the client’s goal for muscle building.
And finally, we’ll do 18 minutes of interval training. A warm-up, followed by six short intervals at the appropriate fitness level for the client, interspersed with short periods of low-intensity recovery. Finish with a cool-down. And that’s the workout. Again, about 45 minutes total.
Most people run, cycle or ride a cardio machine for 45 min. straight which will burn calories. But won’t get you that six pack.
In fact, long slow cardio has a downside. We already know results are different. But overusing muscle groups leads to injuries and it is an inefficient form of exercise. When are you going to build your muscles and sculpt that beautiful body if you are on a cardio machine for 30-45 min straight?
The best way to burn belly fat is fast and fun and it works using a combination of strength training and interval training

Lose Weight In A Week
Posted by James Coen | Filed under Health & Fitness
You hear it almost daily, from family, friends, strangers, even the news. We’re all carrying extra pounds. Why are we overweight? Some people are genetically prone to weight gain, others don’t have an environment where they can eat healthy and exercise. But no matter who you are, sometimes you have to lose a little weight fast. In this article, we will take a look at three different plans that can lead to significant progress as one tries to lose weight in a week.
Water makes up more than three quarters of our body mass. As a result, we need to take on a lot of water to keep going. Through the process of evolution, the body has been taught to protect itself for the future by retaining water. Most of us carry around 5 to 8 pounds of excess weight in the form of water. By simply drinking more water, we can lose this entire amount in just a week. If a person consumes as much as a gallon of water each day, his/her body will be signaled that there is no need to retain water and the excess will be eliminated from the body.
The second one-week weight loss plan is to eat a diet composed entirely of fruits and vegetables. Leafy green salads, steamed vegetables, and fruit will give you large amounts of food with very few calories. Not only will you take in a far lower number of calories, your daily fiber intake will be significantly increased. That fiber will serve to clean your digestive system, eliminating a large volume of excess eight most of us carry around because we just don’t eat right to begin with.
Lastly, you can combine the two to lose weight in a week. Still as simple as the first two, increasing the amount of water you drink and fruits & vegetables you eat. But to stay healthy, the body requires certain amounts of protein, which can be found in meat, poultry and fish, and also carbohydrates, which are common in grains. For successful weight loss, our bodies need carbohydrates, which convert to fuel that the body burns, added to a reduced caloric intake.
Weight loss will be a bit slower with this plan, but it does take a more healthy and balanced approach to dieting. It also allows you to take in the nutrients your body needs while ensuring your calorie intake is lower than the amount of calories you burn every day.
By following this balanced plan, a person can lose, on average, from 8 to 20 pounds in a week. If there’s enough unneeded weight to make up that number, you will lose it. 8 to 20 pounds is a very realistic goal, and who couldn’t afford to lose that much?
James loves to blog about subjects like loose weight in a week and loose weight in a week on his blog.

Getting Rid Of Belly Fat
Posted by Andy Garvin | Filed under Health & Fitness
You have made great strides when it comes to your physical well-being. You have started going to bed at a decent hour, and rising with the sun. You have taken to exercising three to five times a week, you are even lifting weights and watching what you eat. You have lost weight, people have noticed, even your clothes are starting to fit your body differently.
But there is one thing that is not right, one niggling detail that threatens to undermine all the hard work you have been doing to get your body and your self on track and in control: Belly fat. Most women - and some men - who make a change for the better in their lifestyle will agree that of all the areas of the body where losing weight seems difficult, the belly area and belly fat are the most difficult of all to banish.
Belly fat should not leave you feeling like a victim, especially not when you the individual have been working so hard and for so long to get your body to a place where you are happy and confident. Sometimes it helps to understand the source of a our problems in order to remedy them, so let us do that with belly fat and see if it changes our perspective on our problem. Belly fat is different than the other fat deposits that collect in other parts of our bodies.
Belly fat is comprised of two different types of fat. These are visceral fats, fat that is cushions and protects the organs, and then subcutaneous fats, fat that sits directly beneath the skin layers. When people first begin to exercise, most find that they lose weight from their belly immediately, but then it begins to stop.
One way to battle this is by managing your stress levels. Studies have shown that belly fat is more likely to stay belly fat in individuals with higher stress levels. Decreasing your daily stress levels will increase your likelihood of eliminating stubborn belly fat. In addition to removing stress factors from your daily life, you might try adding a new element to your daily exercise regime. The body can become acclimated to exercise routines over time - almost inured to them. Taking on a class, like pilates, that is geared specifically towards your core area will help you tone, strengthen and shape that stubborn belly area, and will surely eliminate that ugly belly fat!

The Growing Importance of Recycling

The following article presents the very latest information on how recycling affects the environment. If you have a particular interest in recycling facts, then this informative article is required reading.
By minimizing the energy spent on industrial production, recycling also helps in reducing greenhouse gas emission. Some of the major fossil fuels used in most industries include coal, diesel, gasoline etc. Container recycling is also covered, including glass recycling, bottle recycling, aluminum (aluminium) can recycling, and paper recycling.
Curiously, while recycling has grown to more than 9,000 curbside programs nationwide, a greater percentage of recyclable plastic bottles and aluminum cans are ending up in the regular garbage. Instead, put them in a small box and send them to the recycling program, where your cast-offs will be melted down and turned into a new generation of crayons. The State of Oregon has set a goal of recycling 64% of the waste stream by the year 2009. The region is currently in the 55-57% range, so we’ll need to increase our recycling by several points over the next three years.
How can you put a limit on learning more about recycling? The next section may contain that one little bit of wisdom that changes everything.
In fact, due to the mercury content in fluorescent, mercury vapour and other lamps and lamp fragments, the federal EPA says recycling is the best way to dispose of these materials. Recycling decreases number of landfills, saves great amounts of energy, saves natural resources, helps to reduce global warming and pollution of the environment, and that is not all. Please note that all articles have been published in Recycling Articles Category - Environment Articles Category may be republished on other websites and some of them may be expired.

It is also against the law for a landfill or resource recovery facility to accept a load of recyclables. The division takes concrete from demolition sites to crushed concrete yards for recycling.
The company formed its stabilized materials division in 2001 to add cement to recycling aggregates and sand to create a broader array of finished products. In 1995 the blue bag program, an initiative, began recycling some waste in a small selection of low-density residential areas of Chicago. Under this plan, residents in blue-bag areas were required to buy blue recycling bags and mingle their recyclables in those bags.

Don’t Risk Your Life With These 3 Weight Loss Myths
Posted by Andrew Walchester | Filed under Health & Fitness
You’ve probably encountered a huge variety of weight loss tips if you’ve ever picked up any kind of health magazine. You will find that several of the tips will be beneficial and others will not. The ineffective weight loss techniques usually involve fad dieting, pills, and weight loss supplements. As always, it’s the simpleness of diet and exercise advice that really work for people.
The weight loss industry often offers misleading information or just plain myths, and other people will tweak the truths because they are ignorant or it’s to their advantage to do so. I would like to talk about three of these myths.
Myth #1 : Reducing fat in specific spots is possible. This isn’t true at all, and I’m certain that any and every expert on weight loss would agree. It’s impossible to make your body eliminate fat in any one specific spot, regardless of which workouts you add to your regimen. Trying to exercising with crunches and leg lifts to aim at reduction of belly fat, you’ll find that you will reduce muscle mass beneath your abdomen instead of the belly fat you were hoping would disappear forever. Because of this, you need to concentrate on a general healthy diet that can increase your rate of metabolism, and burn fat more quickly - not just on leg lifts and crunches.
Myth#2: Dramatically reducing your daily calorie intake will diminish your body fat: False. Many people have found themselves on the edge of crash dieting by subscribing to this myth. Out of desperation, a person crash dieting to shed excess weight, eventually finds that they are damaging their bodies instead. Know that starving and fasting tends to make your body think you’re trying to kill it and therefore it goes immediately into a starvation mode to save itself. As your body is in starvation mode, your metabolism will slow down, and it will start to burn your muscles for energy instead of burning your excess fat, as usual. So now, not only are you not achieving the desired result of losing fat, but you are undermining your health by putting your body’s muscle in jeopardy. When you’re finally off your crash diet, you’ll gain even more weight than before.
Myth #3 : You can lose weight by doing cardio exercises alone. Cardio exercises are definitely an excellent way to fast weight loss, but it’s false that only cardio is capable of shedding extra weight. Aerobics are also excellent for this. The advantages of these two types of exercise are very similar. For another healthy alternative, try weightlifting. You get the fat burning benefits of aerobics and cardio, with the added bonus of continued fat burning even after your workout has ended! The best way to lose extra fat is to combine weight lifting and cardio into your regimen.
My goal for this article is that it gives you the real truths about weight loss.
